| WebAccess
provides simple interface to Landis & Gyr Powers Systems
600.
Add
affordable Web browser technology to your legacy building automation
system.
July 26, 2005 -
San Ramon, California Broadwin Technology Inc.
released an easy-to-use HMI and SCADA interface to Landis
& Gyr (now Siemens), Powers System 600 building automation
system controllers.
The
Broadwin
WebAccess PS 600
driver
uses the MMI Port on a Controller Module, Protocol 2 (P/N
545-700). This is a serial RS-232 connection. The WebAccess PS 600
driver
handles the text based interface to read and write to virtual
IO in the Power Systems 600 controller. The
user only needs to enter the password for
the controller
and the name of the Points to be read or written.
Broadwin
WebAccess is the first fully Web browser-based software
package for industrial automation, Human Machine Interfaces
(HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).

Web browser-based
engineering
“The unique feature which distinguishes WebAccess from the competition is that all engineering, database configuration, graphics building and software administration can be performed
using a standard web browser. This makes WebAccess fully
browser based, not an add on to some traditional HMI package.” explained Tom Carter,
Broadwin product marketing manager. "Web Access enables
engineers, integrators and control systems vendors with the
ability to support their systems remotely over an intranet or
the Internet using an ordinary web browser. With the release
of XP and its remote desktop,
engineers can also configure the control system hardware
remotely!"
