CE
Broadwin WebAccess SCADA Node
software will run on Microsoft Windows CE as a SCADA node with
a local view or as a blind SCADA node. Both are viewable
remotely using an ordinary web browser. The blind CE
SCADA node can scan thousand of IO Tags through up to 12
communication ports due to lower overhead. The WebAccess
CE SCADA node with local View supports almost all features of
the WebAccess 2000 / XP product (except email, scheduled
reports, scripts and video).
"With the
release of our CE support, combined with our existing XP Embedded support,
our customers can provide a completely
embedded control system solution offering web-enabled
automation hardware viewable from any remote location
using an ordinary web browser," explained Tom Carter,
Product Marketing Manager for Broadwin Technology, Inc. "This new
web-enabled Windows CE offering
will allow VARs and OEMs to supply automation systems using embedded
operating systems and hardware accessed via an ordinary web
browser.”

Remote VIEW clients can view
the Windows CE SCADA node using an ordinary web browser
(Internet Explorer 6.0 supports all features). WebAccess uses Active-X technology to provide real-time data,
trends and full-animation graphics. The WebAccess Client is available for desktop computers and laptops running Microsoft 32-bit operating system including Windows

Ethernet or proprietary communications. WebAccess communications
drivers are the fastest available and provide communications
with a wide range of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs),
Single Loop Controllers, Direct Digital Control Systems (DDC),
Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and IO (input / Output)
systems. The SCADA node also provides a full animation, local
View identical to the web based Client for operators to view
real time data collected by the SCADA node kernel. The WebAccess SCADA Node software is available for desktop computers,
laptops and embedded systems running Microsoft operating systems including Windows
2000 Professional, 2000
Server, 2003 Server, XP Professional, XP Embedded and Windows
CE.

ordinary Web Server using Microsoft IIS (Internet Information
Server), a standard option in Windows 2000 Professional, 2000
Server, 2003 Server, XP Professional and XP Embedded.
