Ascengen sells WebAccess software throughout South East Asia

Contract to distribute WebAccess software for building automation and control systems in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, and Indonesia.

December 20, 2005 - San Ramon, California

Broadwin Technology Inc. announced today an agreement granting exclusive distributorship of  its WebAccess HMI and SCADA software for building automation control systems to Ascengen Solution Pte Ltd. of Singapore. The territory covers Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, and Indonesia.

"Ascengen provides the best expertise and owns the best business reputation in Building Automation in the Southeast Asia." said Tom Carter, the Product Marketing Manager of BroadWin Technology. "This distribution agreement strengthens BroadWin's partnerships throughout Southeast Asia and provides state-of-the-art technology to Ascengen's customers. We are especially excited that Ascengen brought Mr. Tim Koh on board to lead Ascengen's efforts."

"BroadWin WebAccess is the ideal platform for Integrated Building Management Systems." said Tim Koh, Managing Director of Ascengen Solution Pte Ltd. "This truly Web-based HMI platform is the dream product for all system engineers in building automation and industrial controls. With the acquisition of Tridium by Honeywell in November 2005, BroadWin is now one of the few independent software suppliers in building automation. It creates a lot of opportunities for Broadwin in the coming years.”

Using a standard web-browser, users can view and control automation equipment used in manufacturing facilities, industrial process plants and building automation systems. Unique to WebAccess, all configuration and deployment can be performed remotely through a standard web browser including IO configuration, graphics building and remote software administration.

WebAccess is available for desktop computers and laptops running Windows CE, 98, 2000, Server 2003, and Windows XP. Internet Explorer 6.0 supports all features of WebAccess.
